Who we are

ApplyArk is a career technology service operated by Femowen LLC, a New Jersey limited liability company (“ApplyArk,” “we,” or “us”). ApplyArk is intended for users in the United States.

Information we collect

• Account information, such as your name, email address, sign-in details, and account settings.
• Career profile and preferences, such as target roles, experience level, location and work preferences, availability, and career goals.
• Resumes, documents, and other career content you provide, such as cover letters, job descriptions, application kits, interview notes, and practice answers.
• Job-search and application activity, such as saved jobs, application status, guarded auto-apply settings and approvals, and interview preparation and simulation activity.
• Messages you send to support.
• Technical and security information, such as browser type, pages visited, request and error details, and security or abuse-prevention events.
• Payment information: we do not currently collect any, because paid plans are not yet available.

How we use information

• To provide the features you choose to use, such as resume building, cover letters, job search, application kits, interview preparation, and guarded auto-apply.
• To keep accounts secure and to prevent fraud and abuse.
• To respond to support requests.
• To keep the service reliable and to improve it.
• To comply with legal obligations.

AI-assisted features

Some features, such as resume and cover-letter drafting, interview practice, and fit analysis, are AI-assisted. When you use one of these features, the content needed for that request, for example resume text, a job description, or your practice answers, is sent to OpenAI, our AI service provider, to generate the result. Content is sent only when you use an AI-assisted feature, and results you keep are stored in your account.

AI-generated content can be inaccurate or incomplete. Review it before you rely on it or share it. Our support assistant does not use AI.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share personal information only with service providers that help us operate ApplyArk, and only as needed for the services they provide to us: Vercel (website hosting and delivery), Railway (application hosting), Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage), OpenAI (AI-assisted features, as described above), and the provider that delivers account emails such as sign-up confirmations and password resets. Job listing sources receive only search terms, such as a job title and location, and never your personal materials.

We may also disclose information when required by law, or when needed to protect the security of ApplyArk and its users.

ApplyArk does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or session-recording tools in your browser.

How we protect information

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls that keep each account’s data private to that account. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service, keep it secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

When you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information as required by applicable law, except information we must keep for security, fraud-prevention, legal, or accounting purposes. Copies may remain in backups for a limited time until they expire.

Your choices and rights

You can review and update your profile information in your account settings at any time. You can also ask us to access, correct, delete, or provide a copy of your personal information by emailing privacy@applyark.com. Self-service account deletion and data export are not yet available in the app, so these requests are handled by email.

To protect your account, we will verify your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond as required by applicable law. See Privacy Choices for details.

Children

ApplyArk is intended only for people who are 18 years of age or older and is not directed to children. At sign-up, we ask you to confirm that you are 18 or older; we do not collect a date of birth or age-verification documents.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date shown on this page.
